Counselors are Crucial
All members of the CGI Florida staff are thoroughly trained and carefully selected after a rigorous screening process to ensure that they meet the highest standards in residential camping. Camp Gan Israel is famed the world over for the quality of their counselors and staff who become friends and mentors to their young charges and who maintain the relationship well after the summer is over.
Our senior staff has years of experience in camping and youth program management; Head Counselors bring valuable expertise in child development while Learning Directors are seasoned teachers. We also require all counselors and teachers to be rabbinical students. Our athletic and arts programs are supervised by a staff of specialists with proven skills in their fields.
Our Head Staff, Shnuer Yarmove, Yechiel Vogel, Menachem Shimonov, Yisroel Binyominon and Shaye Wolfson have already begun developing a fresh program and curriculum. Program director Yossi Hirsch will add a veteran leadership, ensuring all departments work seamlessly.
